Embossing - Making Images Tangible
Embossed image parts are three-dimensional - and give images a
vivid shape
Embossing produces relief effects by representing a motif in
three dimensions. This makes the motif not only visible but also
tangible and creates a better feel for the product. Embossed motifs
produce an impression of refined elegance through their tactile
structure and light and shadow reflections alone. Embossing
stimulates the desire to touch and feel the motif and is thus
always ideal if visual and tactile highlights are needed or key
details are to be picked out.
This does not just apply to logos on letterheads or braille
on pharmaceutical packagings but also to attention-grabbing
brochure covers, extravagant packagings, and eye-catching mailings.
Embossing comes in a variety of shapes and forms. Motifs may be
applied using multistage, relief or deep embossing, thereby
supporting the color effect in different ways. Multistage blind
stocking is also possible. Thicker papers and cards with grammages
over 100 gram per square meter can be processed; coated
papers may require concessions to be made in the embossing height.
Passion for print - this is how our motif is produced
Embossing makes images tangible. Our motif was first
printed conventionally in four colors and a dispersion coating
applied over the whole area to protect the surface. The embossing
was performed at a subsequent stage. A multi-stage tool was used
that reproduces various heights. The first level has the golden
pickup and the neck of the guitar, the second level the silver
pickup and frets, and the third level, the strings. The music
sheets in a separate window are also processed in high relief.
